Why do people always associate vegetarianism with high-carb/low-fat diets? There are plenty of non-meat sources of fat — nuts, cheese, eggs, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. You’re picking on vegetarians way too much.
You are a complete idiot. It takes some serious stupidity to make a statement like that. Go ask doctors who see those patients if they think MMA fighters are deficient in any way other than bone structure damages. It takes some real nerve to say people that physically fit are not healthy individuals. Go read a book.
So eating organic food is bad for you if you don’t digest it correctly… you won’t get nutrients if you eat too fast and don’t digest properly.
So if you eat processed food and digest it correctly, than does that mean you are healthy?
(Eating in moderation). Would chewing slowly and breaking down the stuff in junk food give you nutrients?
Which one of these is true? Only one is true and one is false. I don’t know which one is true.
Sounds like too little fat. Chicken breast and tuna fish are mostly protein. What was Josh just saying?
Anyway firstly make sure to get all of the micronutrients you need. Avoid harmful food (looks like you do for the most part. Tuna fish is high in mercury. Maybe switch to salmon and sardines). Thirdly, I would see someone like Josh and get a metabolic typing test to determine what a good macronutrient ratio for you is. We aren’t all the same physiologically and shouldn’t eat the same
@vooooom Ok, instead of thinking all the time about the way i eat, is eat ok to just eat lots of veggies, chicken breast, thuna fish and so? Well, and from tim to tim i eat candy but only like every two weeks or so. Should i add something to my diet or is it ok this way?
OK lets get this straight. There is good and bad cholesterol. The bad one (small, dense and gets under cells and clogs your arteries) comes mainly from carbohydrates. The good one (large, light, doesn’t stick to your arterial walls and floats around in your blood doing endless vital healthy things) comes mainly from fats. When you get your cholesterol tested they often just lump these two together . So, your cholesterol can be high, if its the right type, thats good! If not, thats bad! x
Just to throw a fly in the ointment… Olympic weight lifters, HONEST body builders, and HONEST MMA fighters have cholesterol through the roof, and they’re some of the healthiest people on the planet. The high cholesterol scam was the bastard child of cherry picked clinical tests, and the pharmaceutical industry.
josh today i met a girl who was very narrow minded and she was? fresh shaved in front of her ears!!! My god i thought , there are people extremely unhealthy .Actually i believe thats around 90% who face mild to extreme health problems.what have we became? the women in our society are in deep shit all together.
I was very disapointed and after some dialogue with lots of dogmatic phrases i let my self go away.
And it doesn’t matter if your rice and wheat are whole and organic, if the total amount of carbohydrates is too high for your metabolic type, you will suffer health problems. Do you know your metabolic type? I recommend taking a test, it’s quite powerful stuff that can help you achieve optimal wellness.
Also you are diverting the topic. The topic is high carbohydrate diets. High carbohydrate diets cause low HDl cholesterol, high tryglyercides and insulin resistance in a lot of people, depending on metabolic type. I eat a lot of vegetables compared to most people but my 12 or so servings of low carb vegetables and 3 of fruit doesn’t add up to very many calories. A person eating a low fat and protein diet is consuming the bulk of their total calories from carbohydrates in other forms.
It really depends on what you mean by “lots”. Fruit is relatively low in calories so you would have to eat what would be perceived as a very very large amount of fruit to do it. But there are plenty of people who do. Fruitarians for instance. Fructose is fructose and too much causes problems, whole or not.
…lol. Yes. This is why people who eat lots of WHOLE fruits (notice…WHOLE, not juice, not dried, not concentrate, but WHOLE…you understand…WHOLE) get diabetes right?
Have you ever met someone who eats lots of fruits who has high cholesterol or body fat, or diabetes? No.
Please go learn some basic physiology and function of the body and the liver. Get back to me at that time.
So that is a really good reason to stop eating so many carbohydrates and get the metabolic effects like Josh explained in the video, Keep the carbs reasonably low (which basically does not exist on a vegetarian diet) and there will be very little insulin.
Once the liver and muscles are full of glycogen, which happens quite easily, ANY carbohydrates, regardless of glycemic index cause the pancreas to release more insulin and get converted to triglycerides. Glycemic index has to do with how quickly blood sugar will be raised and it is RELATIVE to other carbohydrates. All carbohydrates raise blood sugar. If you eat 20 apples you would have massive insulin and massive tryglycerides despite a low glycemic index. It’s not hard to understand.
LOL, what’s really funny about this video is the “it’s so easy to pick on you people” line.
While MOST vegans and low fat eaters are indeed unhealthy, it’s not because of their macronutrient ratios. It’s because of the quality of their overall food intake.
Namely, the fact that they are not consuming whole foods, not consuming foods high in micronutrients, etc.
It’s funny watching folks put up strawmen to prove their points.
Compare any diet to a processed diet and you will find it is better.

@jhillst it’s just an observed trend, not a 100% association, everyone uses trends

@roninkross -Bodybuilder and MMA fighters are the LEAST healthiest people…..because they look healthy doesn’t mean they are.

Many people can easily become insulin resistant by eating too much 100% organic wheat. Therefore your argument fails.
